Little Angels Learning Center provides early childhood education services (6 weeks to 5 years old), and wraparound supports to parents, families and the Englewood community.
Little Angels Learning Center addresses the “whole child” through a hands-on approach to learning that provides social, emotional, academic, physical and cognitive development, encourages personality growth and allows for personality diversity and individual expression.
* We work with a cadre of specialists and consultants who provide professional development, reflective supervision and best practice insights.
* We promote parental involvement and strong home-to-school connections through parent specialist clubs, parent associations, ongoing parent education and training classes, home visits and monthly well-being checks that aim to build personal relationships and provide multifaceted support and resources.

Curriculum
We use the Creative Curriculum, an approach that is grounded in fundamental academic research and shaped by over 30 years of practitioner experience. The Curriculum comprises four stages tailored to a child’s age and associated developmental needs and abilities, delivering “academic rigor alongside social-emotional development and cognitive development” through instruction rooted in Inquiry, exploration, sensory learning, discovery and meaningful interactions.

Infants / The Early Stage
Infants learn about their world primarily through their senses, and we provide a safe, warm and attractive environment where our infants can manipulate objects and explore real materials to promote creativity.

Toddlers and Twos / On the Go
With the rapid increase in motor and language skills, our toddlers have a wider selection of play materials and a stimulating environment that encourages creative thinking.

Pre Primary / Our Investigators
With a focus on learning by doing, our “investigators” are encouraged and supported to feel good and accomplished in their efforts to explore how things work and why things happen and recognize multiple possibilities and applications for the materials used in their learning processes.

Preschoolers / Our Researchers
Our students become more skillful and capable of successful problem-solving — we work to enhance their motor coordination and teach them to exercise key capabilities, such as how to observe and discover objects and materials; collect data; process information; develop a plan; compare and contrast; recreate; express; imagine; evaluate; strategize; interact; cooperate; engage; and role-play.

What ages do you take?
Our students range in age from 6 weeks old to 5 years old. This enables us to give our young children the crucial support and learning opportunities they need at this stage.
Is Little Angels Learning Center Head Start or Pre-K?
We are an Early Head Start/Head Start center. That means Little Angels Learning Center receives federal funds due to the income needs of the community we serve. This financial support allows us to provide more comprehensive services than a traditional Pre-K program, including our Family Engagement Model. This status also allows us to offer our programs free of charge.
