Community is at the heart of what we do at Little Angels Learning Center. Our mission is to support the families of Englewood in their early education, and the way we’ve been able to do that is by counting on our partners to support us in some of the resource gaps that have historically affected our community.

“Englewood is a priority community for the McCormick Foundation. Little Angels Learning Center has done an amazing job with the resources they have — it’s clear that the children are being engaged and encouraged, and that the educators are trained and thoughtful.
There’s a huge need for high-quality early childhood programming, and Englewood also needs more resources, generally. That’s why we support LALC, because it provides a continuum of services that support families as a whole: mental health consultations, social-emotional learning, social support. Little Angels is an entry point for so many services outside of the core functions of early childhood education, and we want to help Little Angels provide those services.
LALC has a very warm feeling. The people are friendly, and everything they do is centered in family and revolves around families; it’s designed for the people they’re serving. Ms. Greer-Adams, Mr. Morgan and the entire team, they’re passionate about their mission, the impact of their work, and their desire to help families overcome barriers, and set and achieve ambitious goals.

A Collaborative Approach
As many of our partners know, it has been a long yet rewarding journey for the center. Every bit of support has mattered as we’ve brought excellence to our little angels and expanded from the temporary church space into a larger permanent facility that better accommodates the needs of our community.
We’re proud to say this continued partner support has paid off. An average of 80-100% of our graduates go on to attend gifted or selective enrollment schools after they finish their early education at Little Angels. The training and resources that our parents and caregivers receive make a massive impact on the community as well.
We look forward to continuing our current partnerships and welcome any new-coming do-gooders who would love to join the cause of educating and supporting Chicago’s young people.

“I’m born and raised in Englewood, and I’m from a big family. Half of my family has gone to Little Angels. And I’m not the only one, there are families who have gone through Little Angels for generations and generations; young people who become parents, they bring their kids back to the program.
Little Angels is amazing, incredible, spectacular! They want to help, and you don’t find that everywhere, especially in a community that doesn’t have a lot of resources. We need them all over the city!”
