Who Are We? Little Angels is an Englewood-based organization that, for over 20 years, has been successfully tackling one of the most fundamental challenges in inner-city education –early childhood learning. Despite being in one of the most financially deprived and underserved communities in Chicago, Little Angels is building a foundation for our students that is changing the trajectory of their lives and positioning them to contribute meaningfully to our society. Our work is an example of “Something Good In Englewood” and demonstrates what could be possible in other underserved communities.
OUR MISSION: “To serve children and families in the Englewood and adjoining communities, to provide high quality services that will prepare them from early childhood to become life-long learners.”
Little Angels is a high-quality early childhood learning program based in Englewood that promotes the physical, social/emotional, and intellectual development of young children, in a safe and nurturing environment during their most formative prekindergarten years. We have a proven methodology refined over more than 30 years, a dedicated set of educators, 80% of whom have been with Little Angels throughout our journey, and a rigorous partnering model
with parents that ensures that their respective child’s needs are met. Little Angels prepares students with the skills necessary for success as evidenced by our 87% acceptance and admission rate at gifted, magnet, charter, and selective enrollment schools. Furthermore, our services empower parents and families with the opportunity to work and/or pursue educational ambitions.
